Infant Approval matters (Part 21.10 of the Civil Procedure Rules 1998) - All UK Courts

Our service extends to all UK courts and we aim to be highly competitive in the marketplace.

Our Personal Injury Group comprises 20 members who are specialist Counsel at all levels. For infant approval advice, we allocate the papers to a specialist member of the group who is competent and able to deal with the instructions and return them to you within 7 working days.

Fees

Our fee structure is simple and we do not depart from these fees without prior discussion. Our fees are based on the following:

  • Advice on Quantum for infant approval hearings - £150 + VAT
  • Attendance at the Infant Approval Hearing at any court throughout the UK - £150 + VAT

Complex Personal Injury or Fatal Accident Act Claim - Approval Hearing

Where a claim is complex or involves a Fatal Accident Act claim, a senior member of the group or Queens Counsel will be asked to assist and the fee or hourly rate agreed. Fees for these matters can range from £150 p/h + VAT for a specialist personal injury Counsel, to £350 + VAT per hour for Queens Counsel. In certain circumstances, our fees will be reduced or Queens Counsel will accept the matter and apply are more junior rate as appropriate. The fee will be proportionate to the circumstances of the claim, not the seniority of Counsel instructed.

  • Attendance at a hearing at any court throughout the UK Please click here and book online 24 hours a day. You will receive an email confirmation of all the details submitted and a unique reference number for your hearing. The hearing will then be allocated to suitable Counsel very quickly.
  • Complex or Fatal Accident Act claims - Please submit your details as above or telephone our Case Management Centre on 0845 083 3000 and speak to one of our clerking team to discuss suitability and costs.
  • Queens Counsel - Clerksroom offer 2 specialist Queens Counsel for complex matters. Robin De Wilde Q.C. and Dr Michael Powers Q.C. are both based directly opposite the High Court at our 218 Strand Chambers and are completely flexible and happy to assist with any matter. Please feel free to discuss any potential matter with them pre-instruction.
